HomeMy WebLinkAbout4527 ~ RESOLUTION NO. 4527 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA ESTABLISHING A GENERAL PLAN DESIGNATION OF SINGLE FAMILY RESIDEN- TIAL (0/6 DUlAC) FOR ANNEXATION NO. 44 (MAYFLOWER AREA) . WHEREAS, the City Council and Planning Commission have conducted public hearings for the purpose of considering the estab- lishment of a General Plan designation for the following property: Beginning at the intersection of the boundary of the City of Arcadia, as existing on May 15, 1975, and the northerly prolongation of,the east line of Lot 2 of Tract 13978 as per map recorded in Book 344, pages 17 to 19 of Maps, on file in the office of the Los Angeles County Recorder; thence southerly along last mentioned line to the center line of Standish Street as shown on map of said tract; thence easterly along said line to the intersection of the northerly pro- longation of the east tract line of Tract No. 13477, as per map recorded in Book 269, Pages 10 and il of Maps, on file in the office of the Los Angeles County Recorder; thence southerly along the last mentioned line to the southerly line of Camino Real Avenue as shown on the map of last said Tract; thence easterly 25 feet along said southerly line; thence southerly parallel with the easterly line of said Tract No. 13477 to the southerly line of Lot 17, Tract No. 13647 as shown on map recorded in Book 282, Pages 3 and 4 of Maps, in the office of said Recorder; thence westerly 25 feet along said lot line to the easterly line of said Tract No. 13477; thence southerly along last mentioned line to the northerly right-of- way line of Jeffries Avenue, as shown on map of last mentioned Tract; thence northwesterly along said line to the intersec- tion of the existing boundary of the City of Arcadia; thence northerly along said boundary through its various courses and distances to the point of beginning. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA THAT: SECTION 1. The General Plan of the City of Arcadia be amended as follows: That the aforedescribed property, now in the County, be designated as Single Family Residential (0/6 du/ac) on the Arcadia General Plan. -1- 4527 ~ SECTION 2. The City Council finds that said property con- tains existing low density residential developments; that classifi- cation to Low Density Residential will create an incentive to upgrade the property, and that the public convenience, necessity and general welfare justify the above action. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
