RESOLUTION NO. 4546
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARCADIA ORDERING AND CALLING FOR A GENERAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON THE 13TH
DAY OF APRIL 1976, DESIGNATING THE OFFICES AND PROVIDING
FOR THE POLLING PLACES FOR SAID ELECTION AND APPOINTING
THE ELECTION OFFICERS FOR SUCH ELECTION AND FIXING THEIR
COMPENSATION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to Section 1100 of the Arcadia City Charter,
a general municipal election be and the same is hereby called to be held in said
City on the 13th day of April 1976 for the purpose of electing the following
officers, to wit: Two (2) members of the City Council and a City Clerk to hold
office for the full term or period of four (4) years from and after the 20th
day of April 1976.
SECTION 2. That for the purpose of holding said election there shall
be and there are hereby established precincts designated as hereinafter stated.
That the polling places for the respective precincts shall be places hereinafter
designated, and that the persons hereinafter named, are hereby appointed officers
of election for their respective election precincts, and they shall hold said
election and make return thereof in the manner provided by law;
SECTION 3. That the polls for said election shall be opened at
7 a.m. on the day of said election and shall remain open continuously from
said time until 7 p.m. of said day when said polls shall be closed except as
provided in Section 14436 of the Elections Code of the State of
Cal ifornia.
SECTION 4. That the compensation of the persons hereinafter named
as election officers is hereby fixed at the sum of Twenty-Four Dollars ($24.00)
for each Inspector, and Twenty-One Dollars ($21.00) for each Judge and Clerk.
The rental of each of such polling places, where a charge is made shall be
the sum of Twenty-One Dollars ($21.00). When required, the compensation of
the Custodian of a building shall be Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) for said
election.
SECTION 5. That the general municipal election shall be held in
accordance with the provisions of the City Charter of the City of Arcadia and
in accordance with the provisions of the Elections Code of the State of
California pertaining to General Law Cities insofar as the same are not in
conflict with said City Charter.

SECTION 6. That said City Council shall meet in the Council Chamber
of the Arcadia City Hall on TUESDAY APRIL 20, 1976 at the hour of 7:30 p.m.
to declare the results thereof.
SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and shall cause notice of said election, the offices to be filled
and the other matters relating to said election to be given as required by
the Electi.ons Code of the State of California.
