HomeMy WebLinkAbout4615 RESOLUTION NO. 4615 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA FINDING URGENT NECESSITY FOR THE PRESERVATION OF HEALTH AND PROPgRTY TO LET A CONTRACT AND PURCHASE SUPPLIES FOR THE REPAIR OF ORANGE GROVE WELL 2a WITHpUT' ADVERTISING FOR BIDS AND AWARDING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR ITS REPAIR BE IT RESOLVED AND DETERMINED BY THE ARCADIA CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the Orange Grove Water Well 2a at 67 West Orange Grove Avenue, owned by the City was recently discovered by the City's Water Manager to have a broken well casing, posing an immediate threat of irreparable injury to the City's water supply contained in said well. SECTION 2. That therefore there exists urgent necessity for the preservation of health and property that a contract be let and supplies purchased for the installation of a gravel-packed well liner in Water Well 2a without advertising for bids. SECTION 3. That the contract attached hereto as Exhibit "A" is hereby approved and the Mayor and Clerk are authorized to execute the same. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
