HomeMy WebLinkAbout4629 RESOLUTION NO. 4629 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA REQUESTING AN ALLOCATION OF COUNTY AID TO CITIES FUNDS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF BALDWIN AVENUE , " mIEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has appropriated certain monies to the City of Arcadia as County Aid to Cities; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to expend the amount of $2,800.00 of said funds accrued to the City for the reconstruction of the south half of the Baldwin Avenue and Orange Grove Intersection, to be included in Los Angeles County Project No. 4730; and WHEREAS, Baldwin Avenue is included in the City's currently approved Select system of Streets; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA HEREBY RESOLVES THAT: 1. The County of Los Angeles is hereby requested to allocate $2800.00 of the Aid to Cities Funds apportioned to the City for the work specified above. 2. After the allocation is approved by the Board of Supervisors and funds are available, the County of Los Angeles Road Department is authorized and requested to retain the money to perform said work in accordance with plans approved by'the City. / 3. The City Clerk is directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Los Angeles County Road Commissioner for processing. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held on the 7th day of June, 1977, by the affirmative vote of at least three Council ~lembers, to wit: -1- 4629 AYES: council Members Gilb, Lauber, Margett, Parry, and Saelid None NOES: ABSENT: None ~kc~ SIGNED AND APPROVED this 7th day of June, 1977.
