HomeMy WebLinkAbout4814 ,\ RESOLUTION 110. 4814 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA RE-ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION OF VARIOUS POSITIONS IN THE C!TY E~'iPLOYI~ENT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOllOWS: Section I, Effective July 2, 1978, employees in the Classifications repre- sented by the American Federation of State, County and Hunicipal Employees AFl-CIO local 2264 are hereby granted an increase equal to four percent (4%) of their respective July 3, 1977 Salary Schedule Rate, Eight percent (8%) simple interest shall be paid on that portion of aforesaid inorease in accordance with the formula set forth in Section 6 of this Resolution. Section 2. Effective July 2, 1978, employees in the Classifications repre- sented by the Arcadia Firefighters Association with the exception of Dispatchers are hereby granted an increase equal to 1.218 percent of their respective July 3, 1977 Salary Schedule Rate, Dispatchers are hereby granted an increase equal to three percent (3%) of their respective July 3, 1977 Salary Schedule Rate, Eight percent (8%) simple interest shall be paid on that portion of aforesaid increase in accordance with the formula set forth in Section 6 of this Resolution, Section 3, Effective July 2, 1978, employees in the Classifications repre- sented by the Arcadia Police Relief Association with the exception of Police Clerks are hereby granted an increase equal to 1,218 percent of their respective July 3, 1977 Salary Schedule Rate. Police Clerks are hereby granted an increase equal to two percent (2%) of the July 3, 1977 Salary Schedule Rate, Eight per- cent (8%) simple interest shall be paid on that portion of aforesaid increase in accordance with the formula set forth in Section 6 of this Resolution. Section 4, All employees in Classifications represEnted by the Arcadia Firefighters Association with the exception of Dispatchers, and all employees in Classifications~r~presented by the Arcadia Police Relief Association with the exception of Police Clerks, shall receive a lump sum payment equal to 1,782 percent of their respective July 2, 1978 Salary Schedule Rate for those pay periods between July 2, 1978 and March 10, 1979 as consideration for the delay in implementation of the Public Employee Retirement System plan provided for in Section 21252.6 of the California Government Code. Section 5, Effective July 2, 1978, all other full time employees are hereby granted an increase equal to two percent (2%) of their respective July 3, 1977 Salary Schedule Rate. Eight percent (8%) simple interest shall be paid on that portion of ,aforesaid increase in accordance with the formula set forth in Section 6 of this Resolution. Section 6. The computation of simple interst provided for in Sections 1, 2, 3 and 5 of this Resolution shall be in accordance with the following formula: Increase x Interest Rate x Total of ~\onths Remaining = Interest Owed 12 months ' Section 7. The City I.ianager is directed to prepare the necessary budget transfer requests to implement this Resolution and present them to the City Council in resolution form for adoption. -1- 4814 . Section B. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
