A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA ESTABLISHING
A POLICY OF MANAGEMENT BENEFITS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Management Defined. As used herein "management
employees" shall be those employees in the following classifications:

City Attorney
Police Chief
Finance Director
Planning Director
City Librarian
Fire Chief
Personnel Director
Superintendent of Parks and Recreation
City Clerk
Battalion Chief
Assistant City Manager
Assistant to City Manager
Police Captain
Police Lieutenant
Chief Building Official
Senior Building Inspector
Water Manager
Assistant City Engineer
Superintendent of General Services
Operations Coordinator
Treasurer/Accounting Officer
Water Field Superintendent
Planning Associate
Building Maintenance Superintendent
Production Superintendent
Park Superintendent
Principal Librarian
Recreation Supervisor
Equipment Maintenanc~ Superintendent
Purchasing Officer
Nature Coordinator
Secretary to City Manager
Printing Services Supervisor
License Officer
Administrative Assistant

SECTION 2. Management Leave. Management employees shall be
provided seven days management leave time per fiscal year. Such leave
time is nonaccumulable and if not used within the fiscal year, cannot be
carried forward nor will compensation be paid in lieu thereof under any
circumstances.
SECTION 3. Service Club Meals. Management employees of the
City of Arcadia are encouraged to join and participate in recognized
service clubs which have as a primary function service to the community.
It shall be the City policy to pay for the cost of meals of management
employees while attending regularly scheduled meetings of the eligible
service clubs.
SECTION 4. Life Insurance. Management employees shall be pro-
vided term life insurance equal to their annual salary rounded off to the
nearest (next highest) one thousand dollars and the Cit~ shall provide
$lO,OOO life insurance to retirees who retire after July 1, 1979.
SECTION 5. Medical Insurance. The City shall provide paid
employee and dependent medical insurance coverage or at the discretion
of the employee, a dollar amount equal to such coverage paid into the
employee's account in the City's deferred compensation plan.
SECTION 6. Vacation. Management employees have unlimited
accumulation of vacation. Such employees may sell-back a maximum of
ten (lO) days vacation per year, provided that the employee takes an equal
amount of vacation leave.
SECTION 7. Dental Insurance. The City shall provide employee
only dental coverage with the "schedule" equal to current fees and pay
lOO% of schedule from time of enrollment.

SECTION B. sick Leave. Management employees shall be allowed
unlimited accumulation of sick leave.
SECTION 9. This resolution shall become effective July 1, 1979.
SECTION 10. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution.
