HomeMy WebLinkAbout4846 RESOLUTION NO. 4846 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA CONFIRMING THE COST OF CONSTRUCTION OF CURBS AND GUTTERS AND ASSESSING THE COST AGAINST THE ADJACENT PROPERTY PURSUANT TO THE IMPROVEMENT ACT OF 1911 (COLORADO PLACE). THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That pursuant to the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911, S5870, et seq., the Director of Public Works, acting in his capacity as Superintendent of Streets, has caused the installation and construction of curbs and gutters adjacent to certain private property hereafter described and has duly prepared and submitted to the City Council his itemized, written report showing the cost of such work. SECTION 2. That, after due notice required by law, said report was duly considered by the City Council at the time fixed for receiving and considering the report and hearing any objections there- to. SECTION 3. That no protest to said report has been received or presented at the public hearing and the report and costs are here- by confirmed and the cost is assessed against each parcel of property set forth in Exhibit "A", attached, which is by this reference in- corporated herei.n as though fully set forth. SECTION 4. That if the cost assessed against any particular parcel is not paid within fifteen (15) days from the adoption of this resolution, said cost shall constitute a special assessment against said parcel of property and the Superintendent of Streets shall file in the office of the County Recorder a notice of lien, which lien shall continue until the assessment and all interest thereon is paid. SECTION 5. City Clerk -2- 4846 EXHIBIT A 275 Colorado Place Construction Cost $3,625.00 Assessor's Parcel No, 5775-11-2 The portion of Lot 1 of Tract No. 949, in the City of Arcadia, in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 17, Page 13, of Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said County, described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the southerly curved line of Colorado Blvd. (formerly Orange Ave.) 80 feet in width, as cescribed in Parcel 4 in Deed to siad City of Arcadia, recorded in Book 9396 Page 145, official records, with the Northeasterly line of Colorado Place as described in Parcel 3 in deed to said City and recorded in Book 9396, Page 145, official records, (a radial bearing to said point of intersection bears South 32 51 '49" West); thence Easterly along said curved Southerly line of Colorado Blvd., along curve concave to the Northeast and having a radius of 756.780feet, a distance of 390.04 feet to a point(a radial bearing to said point bears South 3 20'9"West),thence Sbuth 0047"43" Ea, 513.38 feet, more or less, to the intersection with the Northeasterly line of said Colorado Place; thence North 30033' 16" West along said Northeasterly line of Colorado Place 735,26 feet to the point of beginning.
