RESOLUTION NO. 6127
POLICE STATION PROGRAM - ACQUISITION AND
CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENTS
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING
THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY
DEMAND THE ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF CERTAIN MUNICIPAL
IMPROVEMENTS AND MAKING FINDINGS
RELATING THERETO
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public interest and necessity demand the acquisition,
construction and completion by said City of a municipal improvement, to wit:
A police station in the Arcadia Civic Center complex, including facilities
for emergency operations, police dispatch and 911 emergency communications,
detective bureau, records, police laboratory, jail facility, evide~ce storage and
other works, property or structures for efficient, effective law enforcement
necessary or convenient for said Police Station.
SECTION 2. That the estimated cost of said municipal improvement is
$16,000,000, of which not more than $8,000,000 will be provided through bonded
indebtedness. That said municipal improvement requires an expenditure greater

than the amount allowed for it by the annual tax levy and will require the incurring
of a bonded indebtedness therefor, and is necessary and convenient to carry out
the objects, purposes and powers of said City.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.
