HomeMy WebLinkAbout4993 v RESOLUTION NO. 4993 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA SUPPORTING THE PERIPHERAL CANAL PROPOSAL SCHEDULED FOR THE JUNE, 1982 BALLOT. WHEREAS, in 1985, because of a Supreme Court ruling, comple- tion of the Arizona Water Project will result in a 60-percent cut in the amount of Colorado River water available to Southern California residents; and WHEREAS, this means that there will be a critical water supply situation in Los Angeles County unless additional water sources are developed: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Arcadia endorses the Peripheral Canal proposal which will be on the 1982 June ballot and urges all cities and civic groups to suppqrt this important project.
