HomeMy WebLinkAbout6157 RESOLUTION NO. 6157 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING ADMINISTERING AGENCY-STATE MASTER AGREEMENT NO. 000131 AND PROGRAM AGREEMENT NO. 0226 REV. 000 TO ENCUMBER STATE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FUNDS FOR THE PAVEMENT REHABILITATION AT THE INTERSECTION OF LIVE OAK AVENUE AND EL MONTE AVENUE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT WHEREAS, on January 14, 1999, the California Transportation Commission (CTC) adopted guidelines allowing the use of 1998 STIP Augmentation Funds for the repair and rehabilitation of , , storm damage to local streets and road systems caused by the 1997/98 El Nino Storms; and WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMT A) has earmarked $323,000 in STIP funding to the City of Arcadia for storm damage repair with its adoption of the Regional Transportation Alternatives Analysis in November of 1998; and . WHEREAS, the Live Oak Avenue/El Monte Avenue and Canyon Road Rehabilitation Projects meet the definition as eligible for 1998 State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) -' Augmentation Storm Damage funding. NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That Administering Agency-State Agreement No. 000131 and Program Supplement Agreement No. 0226 REV 000, Program of State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), to encumber State funds for the pavement rehabilitation at the intersection of - 1 - 6157 Live Oak Avenue and El Monte Avenue, are hereby approved and the City Manager is authorized to execute the Agreements. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
