RESOLUTION NO. 5751
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, CONSENTING TO THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF A PORTION OF MICHILLINDA
AVENUE WITHIN SAID CITY AS A PART OF THE
SYSTEM OF HIGHWAYS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS
ANGELES
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors did on March 30, 1993, duly
adopt a Resolution declaring the portion of Michillinda Avenue from
Colorado Boulevard to California BOUlevard/Sunset Boulevard, and
intersecting streets appurtenant to the construction thereof,
within the City of Arcadia, to be a part of the System of Highways
of the County of Los Angeles, as provided in sections 1700 to 1704
inclusive of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California; and
WHEREAS, said Board of Supervisors by said Resolution
requested this Council to give its consent to allow the County to
construct improvements and perform appurtenant work within said
portion of Michillinda Avenue in the City of Arcadia; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 15301, Class 1 (c), of the
California Environmental Quality Act' (CEQA) Guidelines, the
Secretary of Resources designated this type of project as
categorically exempt.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
Consent to Inclusion in Countv Hiohwav Svstem.
This City Council does hereby consent to the establishment of the
portion of Michillinda Avenue from Colorado Boulevard to California
Boulevard/Sunset Boulevard, and intersecting streets appurtenant to
the construction thereof, within the City of Arcadia, as part of

the System of Highways of the County of Los Angeles as provided in
sections 1700 to 1704 inclusive of the streets and Highways Code of
the state of California. Said consent is for the purpose of
constructing improvements and performing appurtenant work as may be
necessary by the County of Los Angeles.
SECTION 2. Findinq of Cateqorical Exemption. The City
Council does hereby find that the project is categorically exempt
from the requirement for an Environmental Impact Report pursuant to
section 15301, Class 1 (c), of the California Environmental Quality
Act (CEQA) Guidelines.
SECTION 3. Findinq of a Minor Nature. The City Council does
hereby find that pursuant to government Code, section 65402 (b),
the aforesaid street improvements are of a minor nature and that,
therefore, the provisions of said section requiring the submission
to and report upon said project by the City Planning Agency do not
apply.
SECTION 4. That the city Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution and that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded
to the County Board of Supervisors, System of Highways.

certify that the foregoing Resolution No. 5751 was passed and
adopted by the City Council of the city of Arcadia, signed by the
Mayor and attested to by the City Clerk at a regular meeting of
said Council held on the 2nd day of November, 1993, and that the
said Resolution was adopted by the following vote, to wit:
