RESOLUTION NO. 5721
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA DESIGNATING THE PLANNING DIRECTOR WILLIAM D. WOOLARD
AS THE AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE FOR PUBLIC ASSISTANCE FOR
THE CITY OF ARCADIA FOR THE PURPOSE OF RECEIPT, PROCESSING
AND COORDINATION OF ALL INQUIRIES AND REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY
TO OBTAIN AVAILABLE STATE AND FEDERAL ASSISTANCE
WHEREAS, on October 8, 1987, the City Council of the city of Arcadia
found that due to the earthquake, a condition of extreme peril to life
and property did exist in the city of Arcadia commencing October 1, 1987;
and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5375 was approved and adopted by the city
Council of the city of Arcadia; and
WHEREAS, the previous city Manager was designated by name as the
authorized representative for Public Assistance and was designated as the
authorized representative for individual assistance of the city of
Arcadia for the purpose of receipt, processing and coordination of all
inquiries and requirements necessary to obtain available State and
Federal assistance.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE city Council of the City of Arcadia does hereby
find, determine and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1.
That William D. Woolard, Planning Director or his assigned
is hereby designated as the local hazard mitigation coordinator of the
City of Arcadia for the purpose of assessing damage within said city and
consulting with Federal/State survey teams about hazard mitigation
actions,
SECTION 2,
That William D. Woolard, Planning Director is hereby
designated as the authorized representative for Public Assistance and
William D. Woolard or his assigned is hereby designated as the authorized
representative for individual assistance of the City of Arcadia for the

representative for individual assistance of the city of Arcadia for the
purpose of receipt, processing and coordination of all inquiries and
requirements necessary to obtain available state and Federal assistance.
SECTION 3.
That the city Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.

I, JUNE D. ALFORD, city Clerk of the City of Arcadia, hereby
certify that the foregoing Resolution No. 5721 was passed and
adopted by the City Council of the City of Arcadia, signed by the
Mayor and attested to by the City Clerk at a regular meeting of
said City Council held on the 20th day of April, 1993 and that said
Resolution was adopted by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmember Fasching, Harbichtf Lojeskif Margett
and Ciraulo
