HomeMy WebLinkAbout6015 RESOLUTION NO. 6015 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, SETTING FORTH CERTAIN FEES RELATING TO THE ARCADIA FIRE DEPARTMENT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That based on the cost allocation study performed by the Administrative Services Department, the fees set forth in this Resolution are necessary for the purposes set forth in this resolution and that said fees do not exceed the estimated costs for providing the service; that the fees set forth in this Resolution bear a reasonable relationship to the cost of the respective service or program involved; that the fees bear a fair and reasonable relationship to the benefit the payer obtains from paying the fees (or the burden caused); and that the fees are not being imposed for general revenue purposes, but for partially recovering the cost of providing said services. Said fees are to cover the costs of the administrative services set forth in the following: SECTION 2. Said fees established by this resolution are as follows: Arcadia Fire Department Fee Schedule a) Hazard~us Materials InspectionslPermits -- Level I $300.00 b) Hazardous Materials InspectionslPermits -- Level II $350.00 c) Hazardous Materials InspectionslPermits -- Level ill $400.00 d) Hazardous Materials InspectionslPermits -- Level IV $500.00 e) First Reinspection w/violation $50.00/hr. f) Second Reinspection w/violation and any additional inspections $100.00/hr. g) Overtime Inspection $60.00/hr. h) Closed Day Inspection $60.00/hr I) Canceled Overtime Inspection $60.00/hr. j) Canceled Closed Day Inspection $60.00/hr. k) Tent Permit $50.00/hr. I) High Rise Annual Inspection (includes three reinspections) $50.00/hr m) Residential Fire Sprinkler Plan Check -- Expedite $60.00/hr. n) Multi-Family Fire Sprinkler Plan Check -- Expedite $60.00/hr. 0) Commercial Fire Sprinkler Plan Check -- Expedite $60.00/hr. p) Fire Alann System Plan Check -- Expedite $60.00/hr. q) Engineered Fire Protection Plan Check -- Expedite $60.00/hr. r) High Pile Storage Plan Check -- Expedite $60.00/hr. s) Multi-Structure High Hazard Occupancy Inspections $50.00/hr. SECTION 3. Any provisions prior to this resolution which are inconsistent are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. This resolution shall become effective November 4,1997. SECTION 5. The City Council hereby finds that the fees specified in this Resolution will not produce an amount in excess of that estimated to fund the operation of the City of Arcadia's Fire Department and that the fees bear a reasonable relationship to the costs of providing the respective services, and to the benefit the payer obtains and that the fees are not being imposed for general revenue purposes, but for partially recovering the cost of providing said services. 2 6015 SECTION 6. That the City Clerk shall certifY to the adoption of this resolution.
