HomeMy WebLinkAbout4452 , RESOLUTION NO. 4452 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA ELECTING TO PAY 50% OF THE 1974-1975 TAXES LEVIED UPON PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY BY THE METROPOLITAN WATER DISTRICT OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, The City Council by Resolution No. 4394, adopted November 20, 1973, declared its intention to pay 50% of the 1974-1975 tax to be levied on property within the City of Arcadia by The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California; and WHEREAS, said District has levied a tax (net) on said property tor the 1974-1975 fiscal year in 'the amount of $372,838.92; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF. THE CITY OF ARCADIA THAT: SECTION 1. The Council orders payment of $186,419.46 in installments to the controller of The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California out of municipal funds of the City of Arcadia, to wit, the Water Fund, as payment of 50% of the amount of the tax which would otherwise be levied upon property within the, City, by the District for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1974; said installments shall be made in accordance with Resolution No. 7599 of the Board of Directors of the District as follows: On/or'before.December 10, 1974 On/or before May 9, 1975 $111,851. 67 $74;567.79 . -1- 4452 ,- SECT10N 2. The City Clerk of the City of Arcadia immediately shall file with the controller of said District two certified copies of this resolution.
