A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TH
CITY OF ARCADIA SUPPORTING PROPOSITION "A"

AND COMMENDING ITS CONSIDERATION ~THE
CITIZENS OF ARCADIA. ~ ~~
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arcadia believes
that better mass transit accommodations ar-~needed in this area
to reduce traffic congestion and air po~tion and conserve energy
and fuel; and I

N0W, THE' FORE \ BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City ~ Arcadia does endorse Proposition "A" and commend its
consideration to the citizens of the community.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution.

RESOLUTION NO. 4462
A RESOLUTION AND ORDER OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DECLARING ITS
INTENTION TO PAY 50% OF THE 1975-76 METRO-
POLITAN WATER DISTRICT TAX.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY ORDER
AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the provisions of the
Metropolitan Water District Act, the City Council hereby declares
its intention to payout of City funds fifty percent. (50%) of the
amount of taxes to be derived from the area of The Metropolitan
Water District of Southern California within the City of Arcadia,
as such amount shall be fixed in August 1975 by resolution of the
Board of Directors of said District, and said City, pursuant to
the provisions of Section 336 of said Act, will elect to pay fifty
percent (50%) of the amount of taxes of said District to be derived
from said City.
SECTION 2. That immediately upon the adoption hereof
and not later than December lO, 1974, the City Clerk shall file a
certified copy hereof with the controller of said District, with
the Los Angeles County Assessor and with the State Board of
Equalization.
SECTION 3. That concurrently with the filing of a
certified copy hereof with said controller, said clerk shall
transmit to said controller a statement showing said City's
financial condition as of the close of the 1973-74 fiscal year
and the funds from which it is intended that such payment will be

made and the source of revenue to be used therefor, including a
certification that such payment will not be made with ad valorem
property taxes.
SECTION 4. That not later than December 15, 1974 said
clerk shall file with said controller proof that a certified
copy hereof has been filed with said County assessor and the State
Board of Equalization and that a statement of the existence of
said City together with the legal description of the boundaries
thereof as they currently exist have previously been filed with
said assessor and said Board.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to t:he adoption
of this resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Arcadia held on the 19th day of
