HomeMy WebLinkAbout4471 ) ~ .. RESOLUTION NO. 4471 \. '~l, I, .( j" A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF INDIANA STREET. . THE. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Arcadia 'pursuant to Chapters 1, 2 and 3 of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, .Section 8300, et seq., does hereby declare its intention to vacate and' abandon a portion of Indiana Street located in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, more particularly described as follows: That portion of Indiana Street shown on map of the Arcadia Santa Anita Tract recorded in Book 15, pages 89 and 90 of Miscellaneous Records described more particularly as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the south- westerly line of said Indiana Street and a line that is parallel with and distant easterly 40 feet from the centerline of First Avenue as shown on the map of said tract, thence south- easterly along said southwesterly line toa line that is parallel with and distant northerly 50 feet from the center line of Huntington Drive (shown as Falling Leaf on said map); thence easterly along last said parallel line to the northeasterly line of said Indiana Street; thence northwesterly along said northeasterly line to first mentioned parallel line: thence southerly along last said line to the point of beginning. . Said property is no longer required for public use; provided, that the public convenience and necessity require the reservation of a permanent easement and the right at any time, or from time to -l- 4471 \1 '. , time, to construct, maintain~ operate, replace'- remove and renew water lines', sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures in, upon, over and across the above-described property or part thereof, proposed to be vacated, and pursuant, to any existing franchises or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain, operate, .replace, remo"ve, renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the operatiori of gas pipe- lines, telephone lines and lines for the transportation or distribu- tion of electrical energy in, upon, over and across the above- described property or part thereof, and these proceedings are taken ,I t " subject,to such reservation. SECTION 2.
