HomeMy WebLinkAbout4479 ~ RESOLUTION NO. 4479 A ,RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA ORDERING THE VACATION OF DEARBORN STREET BETWEEN PECK ROAD AND MYRTLE AVENUE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION l. That pursuant to Resolution No. 4475 declaring the intention of the City Council to vacate and abandon Dearborn Street in its entirety between Peck Road and Myrtle ..Avenue located in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, more particularly described as follows: That portion of Dearborn Street shown on the map of Chicago Park Tract recorded in Book 30, page 100 of Miscellaneous Records in the Office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County lying between the southeasterly line of Peck Road, 100 feet wide, (shown as El Monte Road, 50 feet wide, on said map) and the northwesterly line of Myrtle Avenue as shown on said map, a public hearing was duly held on February 4, 1975, at the hour of 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of Arcadia City Hall, 240 West Huntington Drive, Arcadia, California, for the purpose of hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of the above described street. At said public hearing, the City Council accepted and received all testimony offered in support of, or in objection to, said proposed vacation. SECTION 2. That the City Council finds from all the evidence submitted that the said street hereinabove described, and so described in the resolution of intention to vacate said -l- 4479 .. street, is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes, and therefore it is ordered that the above described street be vacated. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall cause a certified copy thereof to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held on the l8th day of February , 1975, by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Gilb, Helms, Lauber and Scott NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman CIty ArcadIa SIGNED AND APPROVED this lath day of February , 1975.
