RESOLUTION NO. 5801

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, REGARDING CONSISTENCY
WITH THE GENERAL PLAN AND ORDERING THE
VACATION OF EL MONTE AVENUE BETWEEN DUARTE
ROAD AND CAMPUS DRIVE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
HEREBY RESOLVE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the
Arcadia, on May
17, 1994, adopted Resolution No. 5793 declar'ng the intention of
the Arcadia city Council to vacate El
between Duarte
Road and Campus Drive in the city
County of Los
Angeles, State of California.
SECTION 2. Notices of the 0 sed street vacation were duly
at the

SECTION 3. The C~y ouncil of the City of Arcadia held a
Public Hea~ing on t~~ osed street vacation on June 21, 1994, at
7:00 p.m. at the c~t~ 11 Council Chamber of the City of Arcadia,
240 West Hunting~ rive, Arcadia, California, at which time, said
Council heard al evidence offered by persons interested in the
City Council of the City of Arcadia does find:

Avenue between Duarte Road and Campus Drive is unnecessary for
present or prospective street purposes, and theref e, it is
ordered that the above described street be vacated, s to the

SECTION 5. That the City Council hereby approves the Negative
Declaration for the vacation of El Monte Avenue, between Duarte

Road and Campus Drive, and finds it will not have a signifi ~t
effect on the environment as long as the stated mitigated me sures
are implemented.
SECTION 6. That from and after the date
5801 is recorded, the vacated El Monte Avenue Road
and Campus Drive will no longer constitute a publ' street.
SECTION 7. The City Council of the cit of Arcadia does
hereby order that El Monte Avenue between and Campus
Drive be vacated after all of the followin conditions are met:
