RESOLUTION No. 6077
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF
THE TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT CLAIM
FORM TO RECEIVE FUNDS FOR THE OPERATIONS OF
ARCADIA TRANSIT FOR FISCAL YEAR 1998-1999
WHEREAS, the Transportation Development Act of 1971, Chapter 1400, Statutes 1971
(SB 325), and amendments thereto, makes certain funds available for public transportation
systems; and
WHEREAS, the Arcadia City Council has adopted a budget for Arcadia Transit for the
1998-1999 Fiscal Year evidencing the need for financial assistance; and
WHEREAS, the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) has been
charged in the Act with the responsibility for the general administration oflocal transportation
funds through this Act.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That William R. Kelly, City Manager, is hereby authorized to file a
claim with the Southern California Association of Governments for local transportation funds
in an amount to be determined by SCAG based on preliminary estimates of funds available
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.

I, JUNE D. ALFORD, City Clerk of the City of Arcadia, hereby certify that the
foregoing Resolution No. 6077 was passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Arcadia, signed by the Mayor and attested to by the City Clerk at a regular meeting of said
Council held on the 6th day of October, 1998 and that said Resolution was adopted by the
following vote, to wit:
A YES: Councilmember Chandler, Marshall, Roncelli and Kovacic
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Harbicht
