RESOLUTION NO. 5593
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION
FOR VARIOUS POSITIONS OF GENERAL EMPLOYEES FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR 1991-1992
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA DOES
HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Effective June 30, 1991, the City Salary
Schedule currently in effect shall be improved by 6% for those
general employee classifications shown on Attachment A.
SECTION 2. Effective December 29, 1991, the City Salary
Schedule shall be improved by 2% for those general employee
classifications shown on Attachment A.
SECTION 3. Effective June 30, 1991, for the classifications
listed on Attachment A, the City shall increase the amount the
city pays toward the monthly health and dental insurance premium
cost of a City health insurance plan to $400.00 to each employee
enrolled in a health and dental insurance plan, provided the
city's contribution does not exceed the cost for insurance. If
the City's contribution exceeds the cost of employee only
coverage, the difference may be contributed toward the cost of
dependent coverage or paid in cash or to the employee's account
in the City's Deferred Compensation Plan, at the employee's
option.
If the premium cost of a health and dental plan exceeds the
city's contribution, the employee shall pay through payroll
deduction the difference between the monthly premium and the
amount contributed by the city.
The employee's exercise of the option to use the difference
toward dependent health coverage or the Deferred Compensation

Plan is subject to the conditions controlling enrollment periods
and eligibility established by the respective plans or carriers.
SECTION 4. Except as amended by this Resolution, all other
sections of past Resolutions regarding benefits and compensation
for general employees shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution.

certify that the foregoing Resolution No. 5593 was passed and
adopted by the city Council of the City of Arcadia, signed by the
Mayor and attested to by the City Clerk at a regular meeting of
said Council held on the 2nd day of July, 1991 and that said
Resolution was adopted by the following vote, to wit:
