RESOLUTION NO. 5469
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PERFORMANCE
OF A PUBLIC WORKS JOB BY CITY FORCES (4 VOTES
REQUIRED)
WHEREAS, on January 17, 1989, the City Council authorized
bidding for Police Department storage facility (Job No. 651); and
WHEREAS, bids were opened on February 13, 1989 at which time
the low bid was in the amount of $22,641; and
WHEREAS, the City's estimate is $16,400; and
WHEREAS, the City employees, under the direction of the Public
Works Director, are capable of performing the work specified for this
job; and
WHEREAS, based on estimates approved by the City Manager, the
work in question may be performed more economically by the City with
its own employees.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to City Charter Section 1212, the City
Council does hereby reject the bids received and authorizes performance
of the work for Job No. 651 by the City with its own employees.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption this
Resolution.

I, JUNE D. ALFORD, City Clerk of the City of Arcadia, hereby
certify that the foregoing Resolution No. 5469 was passed and adopted
by the City Council of the City of Arcadia, signed by the Mayor and
attested to by the City Clerk at a regular meeting of said Council on
the 7th day of March, 1989 and that said Resolution was adopted by the
following vote, to wit:
