RESOLUTION NO. 5486
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING COMPEN-
SATION FOR VARIOUS POSITIONS IN MANAGEMENT FOR
FISCAL YEAR 1989-1990
SECTION 1. Effective July 2, 1989, the City Salary Schedule
currently in effect shall be improved by 5% for those Management
classifications shown on Attachment A which also shows certain
approved reclassifications by setting forth newly adopted salary
range schedules where applicable.
The above percentage increase
is included in these new ranges.
SECTION 2.
Effective December 31, 1989, the City Salary
Schedule
shall
be
improved
by
3%
for
those

classifications shown on Attachment A which also shows certain
approved reclassifications by setting forth newly adopted salary
range schedules where applicable.

SECTION 3.
Effective July 2, 1989, Safety Management
Employees (police Chief, Police Captain, Police Lieutenant, Fire
Chief, Battalion Chief) shall receive the same percentage of
employees' contribution to PERS, paid by the City, as their
respective non-m~nagement employees (AFA and APRA) .
SECTION 4.
Effective July 2, 1989, for those Management
classifications shown on Attachment A, with the exception of all
safety management employees, in lieu of a holiday for Martin
Luther King's Birthday, each employee may take one (1) floating
holiday during the fiscal year.
Floating holidays shall be used
in the same manner as vacation days at the discretion of the

Department Manager. Floating holidays must be used in the year
they are earned. Should the City Council authorize a holiday for
Martin Luther King's Birthday, then the floating holiday will be
discontinued.
SECTION 5.
Except as amended by this Resolution, all other
.ections of past resolutions regarding benefits and compensation
shall remain in full force and effect for fiscal year 1989-1990.
SECTION 6. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution.

day of June, 1989.

Resolution was adopted by the following vote, to wit:
