HomeMy WebLinkAbout5423 RESOLUTION NO. 5423 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION FOR VARIOUS POSITIONS OF GENERAL EMPLOYEES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1988-89 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Effective July 3, 1988, the Salary Schedule for General Employees shall be improved by 5% for the following classifications: Account Clerk Fire Crewmember Administrative Aide Fire Prevention Technician Assistant Civil Engineer Library Technician I Assistant Planner Library Technician II Associate Planner Library Technician III Building Inspector Parking Control Specialist Building Maintenance Worker PBX Receptionist Building Technician Police Clerk Cashier-Account Clerk Principal Librarian Code Enforcement Officer Printing Services Assistant Communications Technician Secretary Computer Operations Technician Senior Account Clerk Custodian Senior Dispatcher Deputy City Clerk Senior Engineering Aide Dispatcher Senior Librarian I 54E Dispatcher Clerk Senior Steno Clerk Economic Development Assistant Senior Typist Clerk Engineering Aide Typist Clerk Equipment Mechanic Typist Clerk II Equipment Service Worker Typist Clerk III SECTION 2. Effective July 3, 1988, the following reclassified or new positions shall exist at the designated ranges to which the above percentage increase shall apply. All salaries established by this Resolution shall be reflected in the City Salary Schedule effective July 3, 1988. Assistant Pump Mechanic - 1,906 - 2,316 Circulation Supervisor - 1,741 - 2,116 Dispatcher - 1,826 - 2,220 additional 2% for training - 1,863 - 2,264 Dispatcher Clerk - 1,549 - 1,882 Economic Development Associate - 2,588 - 3,146 Legal Secretary - 1,841 - 2,239 Personnel Technician - 1,930 - 2,346 Principal Librarian - 2,388 - 2,902 Senior Citizen Typist Clerk - 1,392 - 1,693 SECTION 3. For the classifications listed in Section 1 and 2, the City shall continue to provide as Deferred Compensation a set dollar amount to be paid toward the employees' contribution to the Public Employees' Retirement System in an amount equal to 7% of the July 3, 1988 Salary Schedule rate for each employee. -2- 5423 SECTION 4. Third tier survivor benefits under the Public Employees Retirement System shall apply to all employees covered by this Resolution. SECTION 5. Effective July 3, 1988, for the classifications set forth herein, the City shall pay up to $281.00 per month toward the health and dental insurance premium cost of the City's health and dental insurance plan to each employee enrolled in the health and dental plan. SECTION 6. All other benefits and compensation set forth ~n Resolution No. 5235 regarding compensation for general employees, not specifically altered by this Resolution shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 7. All other compensation and benefits set forth in Resolution No. 5235 adopted in 1985 shall remain applicable to all employees set forth in Sections 1 and 2 above. SECTION 8. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
