HomeMy WebLinkAbout4322 RESOLUTION NO. 4322 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA ORDERING THE VACATION,OF AN ALLEY BETWEEN HUNTINGTON DRIVE AND FAIRVIEW AVENUE AND BOUNDED ON THE EAST AND WEST BY HOLLY AVENUE AND BALDWIN AVENUE . THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That pursuant to Resolution No. 4316 declaring the intention of the City Council to vacate and abandon an alley between Huntington Drive and Fairview Avenue and bounded on the east and west by Holly Avenue and Baldwin Avenue located in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, more particularly described as follows: Those portions of Tract No. 2828 shown on map recorded in Book 33, page 63 of Maps in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County described as follows: Parcel 1 - That southerly 30 feet of Lots 12, 13 and 14 of said Tract. Parcel 2 - The southerly 30 feet of Lot 18 of said Tract. Parcel 3 - The southerly 30 feet of Lots 23 and 24 of said Tract, a public hearing was duly held on March 20, 1973, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Arcadia City Hall, 240 West Huntington Drive, Arcadia, California, for the purpose of hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of the above described alley. At said public hearing, the City Council accepted and received all testimony offered in support of or in objection to said proposed vacation. SECTION 2. That the City Council finds from all the evidence submitted that the alley hereinabove described, and so -1- 4322 described in the resolution of intention to vacate said alley, is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes, and therefore it is ordered that the above described alley be vacated. SECTION 3, The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall cause a certified copy thereof to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County.
