RESOLUTION NO. 4329
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ARCADIA ESTABLISHING RATES FOR
THE CITY AMBULANCE SERVICE AND AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 4277.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 4277 established rates for
emergency ambulance service provided by the City of Arcadia Fire
Department; and
WHEREAS, the standard charges for emergency ambulance
service in Los Angeles County were raised $5.00 in October, 1972;
and
WHEREAS, it was the intention of Resolution No. 4277
that the ,,:nonresident rate reflect the current standard charge
for such services; and
WHEREAS, it is therefore desirable at this time to
increase the nonresident charge by $5.00 and to retain the other
charges established by Resolution No. 4277 for residents and
their guests and businessmen and their employees;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
RESOLVESsthat Resolution No. 4277 is amended to read as follows:
"The rates for emergency ambulance service shall be
as follows:
Guests- in residents' homes
$15.00
$15.00
Residents of Arcadia
Arcadia businessmen and their
employees at work
$l5.00
$35 basic, $1.50 per
mile, $5 extra 7 p.m.
to 7 a.m., $5 for
oxygen, and $6.25 for
each 15 minutes of
standby.
The above rates shall be charged and collected by the
Nonresidents
City regardless of whether the emergency ambulance service is pro-
vided by the City or by a private ambulance service under contract
to the City."

The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Arcadia held on the 3rd day of April, 1973, by the affirmative
vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit:

Councilmen Arth, Butterworth, Scott and Hage
NOES:
None
ABSENT: Councilman Helms
