RESOLUTION NO. 4331
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCI~ OF THE
CITY OF ARCADIA REQUESTING THE LOS ANGELES
COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO CONTINUE
THE COOPERATIVE GASOLINE PURCHASING
PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Purchasing Agent initiated
,
a cooperative gasoline purchasing program in 1960 and 52 incorporated
'cities, 80 school districts and five special districts, including
the City of Arcadia participated in this cooperative program during
the current year; and
WHEREAS, the Cooperative Gasol~ne Purchasing Program has
been a direct financial benefit to all public agencies, including
the County, because of the savings in gasoline purcha~es to all

agencies; and
WHEREAS, the obtaining of individual proposals for the
purchase of gasoline by each agency will result in a much higher
cost to the taxpayers;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Arcadia hereby requests that the Board of Supervisors
of Los Angeles County take appropriate action to continue the
cooperative gasoline purchasing program and that the program be
made available to all public agencies that have expressed a desire
to be included for the fiscal year 1973-1974.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of

Arcadia held on the 17th day of April , 1973, by the affirmative
vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit:
