HomeMy WebLinkAbout1664 RESOLUTION NO. 1664 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COu}~IL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THAT IT WILL BE FOR THE INTERESTS OR ADVANTAGE OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF MONROVIA FOR THE JOINT USES OF SEWERS, CON- STRUCTED IN THE STREETS OR OTHER PUBLIC PLACES OF EITHER CITY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS : SECTION 1. WHEREAS the City of Arcadia deems it necessary and has provided for the construction of a sewer system, the plans for such sewer system making it necessary for a part of such sewer system to be built along portions of Foothill Boulevard, Fifth Avenue and Huntington Drive, being public streets within the City limits and boundaries of the City of Monrovia, and WHEREAS, as a result of several joint meetings and conferences of the qualified officers and councils of the cities of Arcadia and Monrovia, and after a full discussion of the matter, an agreement has been reached providing for the granting by the City of Monrovia to the City of Arcadia of certain easements in and along Foothill Boulevard, Fifth Avenue, Huntington Drive and elsewhere in the City of Monrovia, and for joint use by both cities of certain sewer facilities now or hereafter to be constructed by each city, and VffiEREAS, the full terms of such agreement are embodied in the attached instrument; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: That it"is proper for the City of Arcadia to enter into the foregoing agreement with the City of Monrovia as of the date of this Resolution and, the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Arcadia be and they are hereby authorized and directed to I \l\~c execute said agreement for and on behalf of the City of Arcadia. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
