RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1695 .
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COU1{CIL OF THE CI17 OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORHIA, DECLARING ITS -INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION
OF THNr CERTAIN ALLEY COLlPRISING THE .iiESTERLY T;iENTY FEET
OF LOT 14, ~N BLCCK74, SANTA ANITA TRACT IN SAID CITY.
AND FIXI~G A,TIhffi ANP PLACB FORBEARING OBJECTIONS TO THE
PROPOSED VACATION. .
T~E CITY COUNCIL. OF THE.CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLO'iiS:
SECTION 1. That.the pu'olic interest and convenience require,
and the City. Council of the City of Arc.adia does. hereby declare
its intention to. .vacate ,pursuant :to the provisions of the Street
Vacation Act of 1941 (Stats: 1941, Ch.250), all that portion of
that certa.in public alley in Block 74, Santa 'Anita Tract, in the
Ci ty of Arcadia, County' of Los Angeles,' St~te of Califol'nia, Which

,.,. . said..-alley does not have any lawful or official name nor any name
by whlchi:t is commonly known, 'out which portion is More particularly
known a~d described as the easterly twelve (12) feet of the westerly

twentyf6et o~ Lot 14 in Block 74, Santa Anita Tract, as shown on
map r.ecorded in Book 15. pages 89 and 90,lI)iscellaneous records of
Los Angeles County.
SECTION 2. A map or plan indicating by bcundary lines the
'extent of the property included in the propo.sed vacation is on file
in the. office of. the City Clerk and reference,i13 hereby made to. said
'Mapar plan fo.r a further, full and complete descriptio.n of all. the
property co.mprising. the aforesaid alley proposed. to 'oe vacated as
declared, herein!
SECTION 3. Any and all persons interested in or o.bjecting to
the proposed vacation may appear bef.ore this COWlcil on fhe 16th
day'o.f SepteMber, 1947, at 8 o'clo.ck P,M., of said day, in the
Co.uncil Chamber of said City Councii in the City Hall in the City of
Arcadta, and show cause why. said alley should not be vacated and
abandoned as aforesaid.
SECTION 4.. The ::''uperintendent of Streets.shall cause to. be posted
notices o.f the passage of this Reso.lution at the places, and in
the manner, required 'oy law.

SBCTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution, and shall cause this.Resolution to be published
once in the Arcadia Tribune, and Arcadia Hews, a newspaper of
general circulation published and circulated in the City of Arcadia.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia
held on the 19th day of August, 1947, by the affirmative vote of
at least three Councilmen, towit:
