A RESOLUTION OF TH~ CITY COUNCIL OF 1HE CITY OF ARCADIA
AUTHORIZING A1~ REQ~STING THE ALLOCATION OF CERTAIN FUNDS
TO THE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS ON PORTIONS OF
HUNTIlJGTON DRIVE IN SAID CITY.
THE CITY COmlCIL OF TH E CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOViS:
SECTION 1. WrlEPEAS, this Council deems it necessary
that there be installed upon Huntington Drive in the City
of Arcadia at its intersection with Colorado Place, Santa
Anita Avenue, First Avenue and Second Avenue, traffic stop-
and-go siv,nals, and
~mEREAS, the State of C~lifornia ~as
available for use by the City of Arcadia certain gasoline
tax funds and funds for the improvement of streets of
major imDortance~
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that there be allocated
from such available funds an amount sufficient to pay the
necessary cost of the installation of traffic~ stop-and-go
sienals at the designated intersections in The City of Arcadia,
approximately one-half of such amount to be paid from state
Highway funds and the remainder from the funds available for
streets of major imryortance.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk s~all certify to the a00ption
of this Resolution.
I qEREBY CERTIFY t~at the foregOing Resolution was
adonted at a re~ular meetinp, of the City Council of the City
of Arcadia, held on the l7th day of December, 1946, by the
affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit:
