HomeMy WebLinkAbout1554 RESOLUTION NO. 1554. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA ACCEPTING GRANT OF EASEMENT COv~RING REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF ARCADIA. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. THAT the City of Arcadia, California, accept- from Fred J. Silk and Ruth K. Silk that certain Grant Deed, dated January 2, 1947, conveying to the City of Arcadia certain real property in the City of Arc~dia, County of Los Angeles, State ofc' California, to wit: a perpetual easement for drainage purposes, together with the right to enter upon, pass and re-pass, over, along and beside said easement, in, over and upon the following~ described real property, to wit: The south five (51) feet of the east sixty (601) feet (measured from the west line of Santa Anita Avenue, 100 feet wide) of Lot Thirty-four (34) of Santa Anita Colony, in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 42, page 87 of miscellaneous Records, in the office of the County Recorder ofc said County. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held on the 7th day of January, 1947, by the affirmative vote o~' at least three Councilmen, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Adcock, Leeper, Nugent, Ormsby and Russell. NOES: None ( ABSENT: None - City ~ of the City '- cadia SIGNED AND APPROVED this 7th day of January, 1947. #:~ r?n#~ MAYO ATTEST: ----, J as, may be approved by the Director of Finance and/or the Post War Public Works Review Board (said allotment to be used for the purpose of defraying the cost of preparing said completed plans required), for a specific project to be undertaken by Local Agency and described, as "City Sewer System"; (e) BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the estimated cost ofi' preparing such plans is Eighteen Thousand ($18,000.00) Dollars, and that Local Agency has made provision for paying one-half or more ofi the cost of preparing such plans; (f) BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that for the purpose of this application G. B. Watson, City Engineer, City Hall, Arcadia, California, be and he is hereby designated as the authorized agent- of Local Agency and is hereby authorized and directed to sign the above-mentioned application on behalf of the Local Agency and submit the same, to the Director of Finance and/or the Post War Public Works; Review Board together with a certified statement of the estimated cost of preparing: such plans and such other information as may be required~ and, said authorized agent is further authorized and directed as the representative of Local Agency to cunduct all negotiations and 'conclude all arrangements, including submissiomto the Director of Financ~of applications for reimbursement, which may be necessary to secure reimbursement for the State's share of the expenditures made in preparing such completed plans. SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 1480, adopted June 18, 1946, be and the same is hereby rescinded~ SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption ofi this Resolution.
