HomeMy WebLinkAbout1579 RESOLUTION NO. 15'79 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DETERMINING THE NATURR, LOCATION AND EXTENT OF THE PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF AN ORNA~~NTAL LIGHTING SYSTE~ ON A PORTION OF HUNTINGTON DRIVE, IN THE CITY OF ARCADIA, DEFINING THE BOlThmARIES OR EXTENT OF THE DISTRICT OR LANDS TO BE SPECIALLY ASSESSED TO PAY THE COST THEREOF AND DETER- MINING THE STATUTE UNDER VffiICH SAID PROCEEDINGS SHALL BE CONDUCTED. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the public interest, convenience and necessity require that an ornamental street lighting system be constructed upon and along a Dortion of Huntington Driye, in said City. SECTION 2. That pursuant to the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the state of California, designated as the Special Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931, being Division 4 of the Streets and Highways Code, it is hereby determined that the nature, location and extent of the proposed ornamental light- ing system shall be in accordance with the plans heretofore prepared by the City Engineer of the City of Arcadia and which are shown on Plan No. C-172, which was, on the 4th day of February, 1947, filed with the Clerk of this Council, and reference is hereby made to said plan so filed for all particulars relative to the nature, location and extent of said proposed improvement, and it is hereby ordered that said plan be made open to the inspection of any person or persons desiring to inspect the same. SECTION 3. That the district to be specially assessed to pay the cost of said improvement shall include all that portion of the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, shown on map of Assessment District No. W-44 included within the colored boundary line, which said map was, on the 4th day of February, 1947, filed with the Clerk of this Council, and which said map shall govern for all details as to the extent of said Assessment District. SECTION 4. It is hereby determined that the proposed improvement and all proceedings for the issuance and payment of Street Improvement Bonds representing assessments for the cost thereof, and provisions \"ll~ for all other acts necessary to conduct the proposed proceedings shall be conducted under the provisions of an Act of the Legis- lature of the State of California designated as the Improvement Act of 1911, being Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
