RESOLUTION NO. 1424.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
DECLi<RING ITS INTEiiTION TO CHANGE THE SETBACK LINE ON A PORTION
OF VALENCIA WAY, A PUBLIC STREET IN THE CITY OF ARCADIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLO,/S:
SECTION 1. That the Planning Commission of the City of
Arcadia has recommended to the City Council of the City of Arcadia
that the setback line be changed on a portion of Valencia Way, a
public street in the City of Arcadia, hereinafter described in t~is
Resolution.
SECTION 2:.That the public interest and convenience require and
it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Arcadia to
change the setback line on a portion of Valencia Way in the City of
Arcadia and reestablish said setback line as follows:
A setback line distant twenty (20) feet easterly from and
parallel with the easterly boundary line of Valencia Way along and
in front of Lots 31 and 32 of Tract No. 6341, as shown on Map

recorded in Book 104, at Page 21 of Maps, in the office of the
Recorder of Los Angeles County.
SECTION 3. Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, November
6th, 1945, at 8100 o'clock, P.M. in the Council Chamber of the City
Council of the City of Arcadia, in the City Hall of said City, any
and all persons having any objection to the proposed setback line
may appear before said City Council and show cause why said setback
line should not be established in accordance with this Resolution.
SECTION 4. The Superintendent of Streets shall post or cause
to be posted along the portion of said street along which it is proposed
to fix and establish.said setback line, at not more than three hundred
(300) feet in distance apart, but not less than three (3) in all,
notices of the passage of this Resolution of Intention.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution, and shall cause the same to be published once in the
Arcadia Tribune and Arcadia News, a newspaper of general circulation,
published and circulated in the City of Arcadia, and hereby designated

for that purpose.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution of Intention
was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Arcadia, held on the 2nd day of October, 1945, by the affirmative
vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen, Adcock, ~eeper, Nugent, Ormsby and Russell

ABSENT: None
