RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1433.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT
OF A CERTAIN ALLEY EXTENDING FROM FOURTH AVENUE TO FIFTH AVENUE
IN TRACT NO. 8209 IN SAID CITY OF ARCADIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLO',/S:
SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience require
and the City Council of the City of Arcadia hereby declares its
intention to close up, vacate and abandon for street purposes all
of that certain alley described as follows:
All that portion of the alley extending from the easterly
s1de of Fourth Avenue to the Westerly side of Fifth Avenue, in
Tract No. 8209 as recorded in Book 107, Page 57 of Maps, records
of Los Angeles County, and further described as: All that portion
of the alley situated on the southerly side of Lots 1 to 7 inclus-
ive, and oil: the northerly side of Lots 8 and 26, all of said lots
being in Tract 8209 as hereinbefore described.
SECTION 2.
That the exterior boundaries of the dis~t of

l~ds in said City of Arcadia which will be affected by said work
or improvement or which will be benefited by the same, and to be
assessed to pay the damages, costs and expenses thereof, and to be
known as the assessment district for that purpose, are hereby fixed
and established as the exterior boundaries of Tract No. 8209 of the
C!ty of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California as per
map book 107, pag~ 57 of Maps, records of Los Angeles County.
SECTION 3. Notice is hereby given that on the 4th day of
December, 1945, at eight o'clock P.M. of said day in the Council
Chamber of said City Council in the City Hall in the City of Arcadia,
any and all persons having any objections to said pro~osed improve-
me.nt of said property may appear before said City Council and show
cause why such improvement should not be made and said alley
vacated and abandoned.
SECTION 4.
The Superintendent of Streets shall cause
to be posted notices of the passage of this Resolution at the places

and in the manner as required by law.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall cause this Resolution
to be published within fifteen (15) days from the adoption 'thereof
in the Arcadia Tribune and Arcadia News, a newspaper of general
circulation, published and circulated in the City of Arcadia, and
hereby designated for that purpose by said City Council.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
I hereby certify that the Foregoing Resolution of Intention
was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Arcadia, held on the 6th day of November, 1945, by the affirmative
vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen, Adcock, Lesper, Nugent, Ormsby and Russell

ABSENT: None
