RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
DECLilRIlIG ITS IHEl':'I'ION TO ANirEX CERTAIlJ" UNINHABITED TERRITORY TO
THE CITY OF ARCADIA, GIVING NOnCE OF SAID PROPOSED A:.NEXATIOH AND
DE[.CRIBING TEE BOUNDARIES OF THE TERHITORY PROPOSED TO BE AN1:EXED.
Th"E CITY COUNC IL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLO';;S :
SECTION 1. \VHEREAS, there has been filed ~ith this Council
the verified petition of George S. Crocker, asking that certain
uninhabited territory in the County of Los Angeles be annexed to the
City of Arcadia, State of California, and
VffiEREAS, it appears from said petition that the petitioner is
the o,mer of the whole of the area of the land sought to be so annexed,
and that said petitioner represents the ~hole of the assessed value
of the said land accordinG to the last preceding equalized assessment
roll of said County of Los Angeles, and
ITlillREAS, said territory is a parcel of land contiguous to
the City of Arcadia and being approximately two hundred (200) feet
in width and having a frontage on the ~esterly side of Tenth Avenue
of 1300.5 feet extending from the southeasterly boundary line of the
City of Arcadia to a point 519.5 feet north of the northerly property
line of Longden Avenue a pUblic highway in the CoUnty of Los Angeles,
State of California, said property sought herein to be annexed being
a portion of Lots 129 and 130 of the Arcadia Acrea~e Tract, as recorded
in Book 10 Page 18 of !.laps, in the office of the County Recorder of
Los Angeles County, in unincorporated territory, and described as a
whole as follows:
Beginning at a pOint in the east line of said Lot 129, north 72
feet from the southeast corner of the north one half of said Lot 129;
thence ~esterly at right angles ~ith said east line of Lot 129, 200
feet; thence northerly parallel with the east lines of Lots 129 and
130, 997.40 feet more or less to the southeasterly boundary of the
City of Arcadia; thence northeasterly along said boundary, 341.14 feet
more or less to the north line of Lot 130; thence east along the said
north line, 43.46 feet to the northeast corner of said Lot 130; thence
south along the east lines of Lots 130 and 129, 1300.5 feet more or
less to the point of beginning, and

WHEREAS, it appears to be to the best interests of the City
of Arcadia that said territory described in said petition be annexed
to the City of Arcaclia,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this City Council does
declare its intention to annex said uninhabited territory described
herein to the City of Arcadia, pursuant to the Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939 of the State of California.
SECTION 2. Notice is hereby given that on the 2nd day of
January, 1946, at 8:00 o'clock, P.H. of said day, in the Council
Chanwer of said City Council in the City Hall in the City of Arcadia,
any and all persons ovming any real property ~ithin said territory
proposed to be annexed to the City of Arcadia, and having any object-
ions to the proposed annexation may appear before said City Council
and show cause why said territory should not be so annexed to the
City of Arcadia.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution, and shall cause the same to be published once a ~eek
for t~o successive weeks prior to the date of hearing on January 2,
1946, in the Arcadia Tribune and Arcadia News, a newspaper of general
circulation, published and circulated in the City of Arcadia, and
hereby designc.ted for that purpose.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held on
the 4th day of December, 1945, by the affirmative vote of at least
three CounCilmen, to wit:
