RESOLUTION NO. 1459.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
APPROVING THE REPORT OF THE CITY ENGINEER OF SAID CITY IN THE
MATTER OF THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT OF PORTIONS OF HUNTINGTON DRIVE
AND FIRST AVENUE IN SAID CITY AND PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE AND
MATURITY OF AND RATE OF INTEREST UPON BONDS TO BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT
UNPAID ASSESS~ffiNTS FOR SAID PROPOSED u~PROVEMENT.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLO',iS:
SECTION 1. That the report prepared by the City Engineer pur-
suant to the provisions of Part 2 of the Special Assessment Invest-
igation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931, in the matter
of the proposed improvement of portions of Huntington Drive and First
Avenue in the City of Arcadia, be and the same is hereby approved.
SECTION 2. That serial bonds bearing interest at the rate of
six per cent per annum and extending over a period ending nine years
from the second day of January next succeeding the next October
fifteenth following their date, will be issued in the manner provided
by the Improvement Act of 1911, to represent each assessment of
Twenty-Five ($25.00) Dollars or more remaining unpaid for thirty
days after the date of the warrant attached to the assessment to be
hereafter levied under these proceedin~s.
SECTION 3. That the above mentioned report be filed with the
Clerk of this City Council. That Tuesday, the 2Xst day of May,
1946, at the hour of eight o'clock, P.M., and the Council Chamber
in the City Hall in the City of Arcadia, are hereby fixed as the
time and place of hearing by this City Council on said report. The
Clerk of this City Council is hereby directed to give notice of said
hearing in the manner and form required by Part 3 of said SpeCial
Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.
I hereby certify that the fbregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia,

held on the 2nd day of April, 1946, by the affirmative vote of
at least three Councilmen, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen, Adoock, Cornyn, Nugent, Ormsby and Russell
