RESOLUTION NO. 1358.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA REQUESTING FROM THE BOARD
OF SUPERVISORS OF LOS A\'lGELES COUNTY CERTAIN GASOLINE TAX FUNDS FOR
THE IMPROVEMENT OF A PORTION OF LONGDEN AVENUE IN SAID CITY OF
ARCADIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. VfrffiREAS, this Council deems it necessary that a
portion of Longden Avenue between Baldwin Avenue and Holly Avenue
in the City of Arcadia be improved with concrete gutters and oil
macadam pavement, and
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has available for use by
the City of Arcadia certain gasoline tax funds for the improvement
of highways of secondary importance, and
WHEREAS, Longden Avenue in the City of Arcadia, is a highway
of secondary importance,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL\~D that the Board of Supervisors
of Los Angeles County appropriate the sum of Seven Thousand ($7,000.00)
Dollars for the purpose of improving a portion of Longden Avenue be-
tween Baldwin Avenue and Holly Avenue with concrete gutters and oil
macadam pavement.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
,at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City 0 f Arcadia, held on
the 6th day of February, 1945, by the affirmative vote of at least
three Councilmen, to-wit:
AYES: Councilmen, Adcock, Billig, Leeper, Nugent and Ormsby
