RESOLUTION NO. 1390
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COuNCIL OF Tr~ CITY OF ARCADIA DECLARING
ITS IRTENTION TO ESTABLISH SETBACK LINES ON A PORTION OF FIRST AVERt~,
A PUBLIC STREET IN THE CITY OF ARCADIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLO:,'S:
SECTION 1. That the Planning ConT.lission of the City of Arcadia
has recommended to the City Co~cil of the City of Arcadia that
setback lines be established on a portion of First Avenue, a public
street in the City of Arcadia, hereinafter described in this Resolution.
SECTION 2. That the public interest and convenience require and
it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Arcadia to
establish set back
lines upon a portion of First Avenue in the
City of Arcadia, as folIous:
(a) A setback line distant four (4') feet easterly from and
parallel with the easterly boundary line of First Avenue from the
southerly boundary line of Huntington Drive to the northerly boundary
line of California Street;
(b) A set back line distant four (4') feet westerly from and
parallel with the westerly boundary line of First Avenue from the
southerly bOlmdary line of Huntington Drive to the northerly boundary
line of California Street.
SECTION 3. Notice is hereby given that on the 7th day of August,
1945, at 8 0 I cloc], P .!.I. of said day in the Council Chamber in the Court
Room of the Police Station of the City of Arcadia, any and all persons
having any objection to the proposed setback lines may appear before
said City Council and show cause why said setback lines should not be
established in accord~~ce with this Resolution.
SECTION 4. The Superintendent of streets shall post or cause to
be posted along said portion of said street along which it is proposed
to fix and establish said setback lines, at not more than three huridred
(300') feet in distance apart, but not less than three (3) in all,
notices of the passage of this Resolution of Intention.
SECTION 5.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution, and shall cause the same to be published once in
the Arcadia Tribune ~~d Arcadia News, a newspaper of general circul~tion

published and circulated in the City of Arcadia, and hereby designated
for that purpose.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution of Intention was
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the CIty of Arcadia,
held on the 3rd day of July, 1945, by the affirmative vote of at least
three Councilmen, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen, Adcock, Leeper, Nugent, Ormsby and Russell
NOES: None
ABSENT:, None
