A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COmICIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
DETERMINING THE NATURE, LOCATION AND EXTENT OF TilE PRG?OSED CONSTRUCTION
OF CONCRETE CURBS, CONCRETE GUTTERS AND OIL ;.JACADAM PAVEi,JENT ON A PORTION
OF WALNu~ AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF ARCADIA, DEFINING THE BOUNDARIES OR
EXTENT OF T~~ DISTRICT OR LANDS TO BE SPECIALLY ASSESSED TO PAY A PORTION
OF THE COST THEREOF AND DETEffi~INING Tt~ STATUTE UNDER WHICH SAID PRO-
CEEDIJ\GS SHALL BE CONDUCTED.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF TilE CITY OF ARCADIA D02:S RESOLVE AS FOLLO~7S:
SECTION 1. That the public interest, convenience and necessity
require that concrete curbs, concrete gutters and oil macadam pavement
be constructed upon and along a portion of Walnut Avenue in said City.
SECTION 2. That pL~suant to the prOVisions of an Act of the
Degislature of the State of California, designated as the Special
Investi;ation, Limitation and Majo~ity Protest Act of 1931, being
Division 4 of the Streets and Highvlays Code of the St.ate of California,
it is hereby determined that the nature, 10caUon.and extent of the
proposed L~provement shall be in accordance with. the Plans and Speci-
fications heretofore prepared by the City Engineer of the City of Arcadia,
said plans being designated as Plan No. C-169, Sheet 1, which were,
on the 3rd day of July, 1945, filed with the Clerk of this Council, and
reference is hereby made to said Plans and Specifications so filed for
all partic~lars relative to
the nature, location and extent of said
proposed improvement, and it is hereby ordered that said Plans and
Specific~tions be made open to the inspection of any person or persons
desiring to inspect the same.
SECTION 3. That there shall be applied toward payment of the
cost of the construction of concrete gutters and oil macadam pavement
in the district to be specially assessed to pay the cost of said
improvement, the sum of Two Thousand Three Hundred ($2,300.00) Dollars
by the City of Arcadia from sasoline tax funds available to said City
".
From the County of Los Angeles for improvement of streets in the City
of Arcadia.
SECTION 4. That the boundary of the district to be specially
assessed to pay the cost of said improvement except that portion to be
paid by the City of Arcadia out of gasoline tax funds as provided
herein, shall include all that portion of the City of Arcadia included
within the exterior boundary line of the assessment district as

outlined on plat or map of Assessnwnt District No. W-41 on file in
the office of the City Clerk of the City of Arcadia, and which said.
plat or map shall govern for all details as to the extent of said
district.

SECTION 5.
It is hereby determined that the. proposed
improvement and all proceedin8s for the issuance and payment of
street Improvement Bonds representing assessments for the cost
thereof,.except that portion to be paid by the City of Arcadia out
of gasoline tax funds as provided herein, and provisions for all other
acts necessary to conduct the proposed proceedings shall be conducted
under the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of
California designated as the Lmprovenlent Act of 1911, being Division
7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a
regular meeting of the CitY Council of the City of Arcadia, held on
the 3rd day of July, 1945, by the affirmative vote of at least three
Councilmen, to-wit:
