THE cn~Y COUlWIL OF 'l'HE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLO',JS: SECTION 1. WHEREAS, this Council deems it necessary that that portion of Las Tunas Avenue at the intersection with El :l'Ionte Avenue be improved by the construction of a concrete sua1e bec&use of the fact that the existing scra1e has disintegrated by reason of flood craters to the extent that heavy trucks which frequently pass over said swale~eate a dan3erous condition.. and \fHE1~AS. this Council is informed and believes that the cost of said improvement vd11 be approximately Six Hundred (0600.00) Dollars, and \~RB.Il.S, the County of Los Angeles, has available for use by the City of Arcadia gasoline tax funds for the improvement of certain hiGhways in the City of ArCadia, UO':!, Tll::::iliFOR;;;, BE IT l1c.SOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors of Los An~eles County appropriate the sum of Six Hundred (~600.00) Dollars, from that portion of gasoline tax funds available to the City of Arcadia, for use on certain htghways in said City, for the purpose of improving the portion of said street hereinabove described. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of ArCadia, held on the 15th day of September, 1942, by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to-wit: AY~S: Councilmen, ,Adcock , Jones, Leeper, Nueent and Ormsby NOES: None ABSEN'J,': None ~~~ Sentemher , 1942.
