A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DETERMINING THE NATURE, LOCATION AND EXTENT OF THE PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRE'I'E CURB ON A PORTIoN OF LONGDEN AVEnUE, IN THE CITY OF ARCADIA, DEFINING THE BOUNDARIES OR EXTENT OF THE DISTRICT OR LANDS TO BE SPECIALLY ASSESSED TO PAY THE CoST THEREOF AND DE'llERMIIHEG THE STATUTE UNDER '..'RICH SAID PROCEEDINGS SHALL BE CONDUCTED. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCnDIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLO'.iS: SECTION .1. That the public interest, convenience, and necessity requi~~ that concrete curb be constructed upon and along a portion of Longden Avenue, in said City. SECTION 2. That pursuant to the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the state of California, designated as the "Special Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931, stat. 1931, Page 1372", as $1ended, it is hereby determined that the nature, location and extent of the proposed concrete curb shall be in accordance with the Plans and Specifications heretofore prepared by the City En~ineer of the City of Arcadia, said plans being desisnated as Plans No. C-162, Sheet 1, which were, on the 21st day of April, 1941, filed with the Clerk of this Council, and reference is'hereby made to said Plans and Specifications so filed for all particu1ars relative to the nature, location and extent of said proposed improvement, and it is hereby ordered that said Plans and Specifications be made open to the inspection of any person or persons desiring to inspect the same. SECTION 3. That the boundary of the district to be specially assessed to pay the cost of said improvement shall include all those lots fronting on and adjacent to Longden Avenue between Santa Anita Avenue and Sixth Avenue, and is more particularly described as follows: All that portion of the said City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, included within the following described exterior boundary line, to-wit: Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Santa Anita Avenue with the Westerly prolon~ation of the Northerly line of Lot 46, Arcadia Acrea~e Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 10, Page 18 of Maps, records of said County; thence Easterly ina direct line to the Northeasterly corner of Lot 47 of said Tract; thence Northeasterly to a point in the Westerly line of Lot 106 of said Tract, distant 445 feet North- erly from the Northerly line of Longden Avenue; thence Easterly parallel with and 445 feet Northerly from the Northerly line of Longden Avenue to the Easterly line of said Lot 106; thence Northerly along the Easterly line<;1f salld Lot 106, 2.5 feet; -1.,. o thence Easterly parallel'with and 447.5 feet Northerly from the Northerly line of Longden Avenue and its Easterly pro- longation, to the center line of Sixth Avenue; thence Southerly along the center line of Sixth Avenue to its intersection with the Easterly prolonsation of the Southerly line of Lot 2, Tract . No. 8994, as shown on map recorded in Book 125, Page 43 of Maps, records of said County; thence Westerly in a direct line to the Southwesterly corner of Lot 1 of said Tract; thence Northerly along the Westerly line of said Lot 1 to a point 300 feet Southerly from the southerly line of Longden Avenue; the~ce Westerly parallel with and 300 feet Southerly from the Southerly line of Longden Avenue to. the Easterly line of Lot 49 of afRresuid Arcadia Acreage Tract~ thence Southerly along the Easterly line of said Lot 49 to the Southeasterly corner thereof; thence Westerly along the . Southerly line of, said Lot 49 and its Westerly prolongation to the center line of Santa Anita; thence Northerly thereon to the point of beginning. The foregoing description is general only. A plat or map of , said District indicating by a boUndary line tn~ .~xtent of the lands in- cluded in the proposed Assessment District .is on file in the office of ~.~ . the City Engineer of the Citio~Arcadia. Re~rence is hereby made to , .~. --1 ,said plat of map for a further, full and com~~te description of said \ Assessment District, which said plat or map is designated as Assessment District No. ~-34, and said map so on file shall govern for all details as to the extent of such Asses'sment District. SECTION 4. It is hereby determined that the proposed improvement and all proceedings for the issuance and payment of Street 'Improvement Bonds representing assessments for the cost thereof, and provisions for all other acts necessary to conduct the proposed proceediri~s shall be conducted under the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California designated as the II Improvement Act of 1911", approved 1911, as amended. SECTION 5, The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
