RESOLUTION NO. 1117.
k. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
DESIGNATING PORTIONS OF A CERTAIN STREET IN SAID CITY AS A THROUGH
HIGHWAY, AND DIRECTING THE PLACING AND MAINTAINING OF "STOP SIGNSi.
ON ClillTAIN STREETS INTERSECTING WITH SAID THROUGH HIGHWAY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA POES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Golden West Avenue at its intersections
with Arcadia Avenue and with Fairview Avenue in the City of Arcadia,
be and the SBme is hereby designated as a through highway in
accordance with the provisions of Section 23 of Ordinance No. 200
of the City of Arcadia. That the Chief of Police of said City be
authorized, and he is hereby directed to cause to be placed and
maintained "Stop Signs" at the following locations upon said Arcadia
Avenue and upon said Fairview Avenue in the City of Arcadia:
(a) Upon the southerly side of Arcadia Avenue at or near
the westerly property line of Golden West Avenue,
(b) Upon the northerly side of Arcadia Avenue at or near
the easterly property line of Golden West Avenue,
(c) Upon the southerly ,side of Fairview Avenue at or near
the westerly property line of Golden West Avenue, and
(d) Upon the northerly side of Fairview Avenue at or near
the easterly property line of Golden West Avenue.
Each of said signs shall conform with the requirements
of Section 23 of Ordinance No. 200 of the City of Arcadia, and Sect'ion
471 of thEi, Vehicle Code of the State of' California.
SECTION ,2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at an
adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia.
held on the 4th day of June, 1941, by the affirmative vote of at
least three Councilmen, to-wit:
AYES: Councilmen, Adcock, Bolz, Leeper, Ormsby and Perkins.
