RESOLUTION NO. 1l48.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
DESIGNATING A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET IN SAID CITY AS A THROUGH
HIGHWAY, AND DIRECTING THE PLACING AND MAINTAINING OF"STOP SIGNS"
ON A CERTAIN STREBT INTERSECTING WITH SAID THROUGH HIGHWAY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That St. Joseph Street at its intersection with
First Avenue in the City of Arcadia, De and the same is hereby desig-
nated as a through highway in accordance with the provisions of Section
23 of Ordinance No. 200 of the City of Arcadia. That the Chief of
Police of said City be authorized, and he is hereby directed to cause
to be placed and maintained "stop Signs" at the following .location
upon said First Avenue in the City of Arcadia:
(a) Upon the easterly side of First Avenue at or. near the
southerly property line of St. Joseph Street,
(Q) Upon the westerly side of First Avenue at or near the
northerly property line of St. Joseph Street}
Each of said signs shall conform with the requirements of
Section 23 of Ordinance No. 200 of the City of Arcadia, and Section
471 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was adopted at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held on .
the 2nd day of September, 1941, by the affirmative vote of at least three
Councilmen, to-w:1. t:.
