A RESOLUTION OF .THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO 15STABLTSH SETBACK LINES ON PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREhTS IN THE CITY OF ARCADIA. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia has recommended to the City Council of the City of Arcadia that setback , lines be established on portions of the streets hereinafter described in this Resolution. .. SECTION 2. That.the public interest and convenience require, and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Arcadia to establish setback lines upon the followingdescriped streets in the City of Arcadia: First: . A setback line distant ten (10') feet westerly from and parallel to the westerly line of the following streets ,and at the locations designated: (a) Santa Anita Avenue from a point 257.60 feet south of Duarte Road to that public street commonly known as Lower Huntington Drive; (b) Santa Anita Avenue,from Huntington Drive to a point 789.29'north of Colorado Boulevard; (c) Santa ,Anita Ave~u~ frOm Floral Avenue to.~.point 250 feet nor.th of Foothill-Boulevard; (d) Second Avenue from Huntington Drive to the first alley south thereof; (el'1 First Avenue from Duarte Road to a point 151.90 feet south thereof. Second: A setback line distant ten (lOl) feet easterly from and parallel tp the easterly line of the following streets and at the locations .designat$d: (a) Santa Anita Avenue from a point 273.Al feet south of Duarte Road to the first alley nort~ of Genoa Street; (b) . Santa Anita A~enue from the first alley south of Huntingtt;m Drive, to a point 120 feet north of Colorado Boulevard; (c) . Santa Anita, Avenue from a point 287.4 feet south of Foothill Boulevard to a point 224.58 feet north o~ Foothill Boulevard; (d). . Eleventh: A setback line distant twenty-five (25') feet east- erly from and parallel to'the e.asterly line of the following streets and at the locations aesignated: (a) Fourth Avenue from Colorado Boulevard to the Pacific. Electric Railway right of way; (b) Third Avenue from a pOint 110 feet north of Huntington Drive to the north' line. of Tract No. 6860. Twelfth: A setback line diStant tw~nty-five (25') feet westerly from and parallel to the I'festerly line of the following streets .and at the locations defl:l.gnateo.: (a) Fourth Avenue from COlorado Boulevard to' the Pacific ,. Electric Railway right of way; (b) . Third Avenue from a point llO feet north of Huntington Drive to the north line of Tract No. 6860. Thirteenth: A setback line distant thirty-five (35') feet southerly from and parallel to the southerly line of Huntington Drive from Bald\lin Avenue to a point 250.96 feet west thereof. SECTION 3. 1I0tice is hereby given that on the -7th day of October, 1941, at; 8:00 o'clock, P.M. of .said day, in the Council Chamber of said .City Council in the City Hall of said City of Arcadia, any and all persons having any'opje.ctions .to said proposed setoack lines may appear bef9re said City Council and show cause why said proposed setback lines should not be establr"shed in accordance with this Resolution. Section 4. The Superintendent of Streets shall post or cause to be posted along such portions of each of said streets along which it -3- is proposed to fix and establish setback lines, at 'not more 'than three hundred (300r") feet in distance apart, but not less than three' (3) in all, on each of said streets, notices of the passage of this Resolution of Intention. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to, the adoption of thiS Resolution,. and shall cause the same to be published once in the Arcadia Tribune and Arcadia News, a newspaper of general circulation, published, and c ir'~ula ted in the City of Arcadia, and hereby designated for that purpose.
