_AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, made and executed this day of
14A Y 1 19 ?_5-, by and between the City of Arcadia, California,
hereinafter referred to simply as City, and C.T. & F., Inc. hereinafter
referred to simply as Contractor.
WITNESSETH: That the parties hereto do mutually agree and covenant
as follows:
1. For and in consideration of the payments and covenants
hereinafter specified to be made and performed by City,
Contractor shall perform and complete the following:
Convert two (2) City street lights on Michillinda Avenue
and the Foothill Freeway and seventeen (17) street lights
on Baldwin Avenue and the Foothill Freeway from series
circuits to multiple circuits; and to perform and
complete the same in a good and workmanlike manner all
the work pertaining to said conversion project therefore;
to furnish at his own cost and expense all tools,
equipment, labor, services, and materials necessary to
convert said street lights to multiple circuits
including, but not limited to, installing luminaires,
lamps, conductors, conduit, pull boxes and service
cabinets, and all appurtenant work to place the system in
acceptable operating condition.
2. All work shall be done per the Caltrans standard plans and
Section 86 of the Caltrans Standard Specifications latest
edition.
3. Prosecution, progress and acceptance of work shall conform to
the applicable sections of the Standard Specifications for
Public Works Construction, latest edition.
4. The contract time allowed for completion of the project is
fifteen (15) working days.
5. Contractor must obtain a "no fee" encroachment permit prior to
beginning of work which shall include the following
requirements:
The Contractor shall take out and maintain, during the
life of the Contract, broad form comprehensive general
public liability and property damage insurance with a
carrier authorized by the Insurance Commission to
transact business of insurance in the State of California
in which the City of Arcadia, its officers and employees,
shall be named as an additional insured, and shall
protect the Contractor or any subcontractors performing
work covered by the Contract, and also the City of
Arcadia, from claims or personal injury, including
accidental death, as well as from claims for property
damages which may arise from the operations under the
Contract or any subcontractors, or by anyone directly or

indirectly employed by any of them, and the limit of
liability for such insurance shall be as follows:
1. Limit of Liability for Injury or Accidental Death:
Each Occurrence or Accident $1,000,000
2. Limit of Liability for Property Damage:
Each Occurrence or Accident $ 500,000
6. All costs associated with the service connection from serving
utility company to propose service cabinet will be covered by
the lump sum cost agreed upon by both parties in this
agreement.
7. Contractor agrees to perform the work according to the terms
of this contract for the lump sum of $10,602, and the City
agrees to pay the same at the time the work is completed.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this contract to
be executed the day and year first above written-
