A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA SUBUITTING TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF SAID CITY AND THE QUALIFIED VOTERS IN THE TERRITORY ADJACENT TO SAID CITY AND ~HICH IS PROPOSED TO BE A~l\EXED THERETO AT A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY OF ARCADIA ON THE 8th. DAY OF JANUARY, 1924, AND IN TEE TERRITORY WHIOH IS SO PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED, THE PROPOSITION OF ALTERING THE BOUNDARIES OF AND FOR THE ANNEXATION OF SAID TERRI- TORY TO SAID CITY OF ARCADIA AND THE PROPERTY UITHIN SUCH TERRITORY AFTER SAID Al~EXATION BE SUBJEOT TO TAXATION EQUALLY ~ITH THE PRO- PERTY TIITHIU SAID CITY OF ARCADIA TO PAY ANY AND ALL OF THE OUT- STANDING BONDED INDEBTEDNESS OF SAID CITY OF ARCADIA,DESIGHATIl-rG SAID TERRITORY BY THE N~~E OF NORTH ARCADIA ANNEXATION DISTRICT; ESTABLISHING AN ELECTION PRECINCT AND THE POLLING PLACE IN SAID TERRITORY; APPOINTING THE OFFICERS OF ELECTION MID PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLIOATION OF NOTICE OF SUCH ELECTION. SECTION 2: Notice of suoh Special Election and the sub- mission of the foregoing question at such Special Election shall be given by the publieation of a notice thereof in The Arcadia Journal, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in said City of Arcadia, California, at least once a ueek for a period of four successive weeks next preceding the date of such election and by the publication of.a notice thereof in the Honrovia Messenger, a Y1eekly newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Monrovia, California, and out- side of said City of Arcadia, but in the said County of Los Angeles being the County in which the territory so proposed to be annexed is situate,. at least once a \7eek for a period of four successive weeks next preceding the date of such Election. SECTION 3: Such notice shall distinctly sta$e the pro- position to be submitted, that is, to-vat: that it is proposed to annex to, incorporate in and to make a part of said City of Arcadia the territory sought to be annexed, specifically describing the boundaries thereof and that the prop~rty therein shall after such annexetion, be subject to taxation equally with the property uith- in said City of Arcadia, to pay the bonded indebtedness of said City of Arcadia outstanding at the date of such annexation.
