RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. /2::f. 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AR- CADIA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO IMPROVE A PORTION OF HUNTINGTON 2 DRIVE In SAID CITY OF ARCADIA AND DECLARING SAID WORK OR IMPROVElJEHT TO BE OF MORE THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEFIT AND DESCRIBING 3 THE DISTRICT TO BE BENEFITTED BY SAIDh'/ORK OR IMPROVEMENT AND TO BE ASSESSED TO PAY THE COST AND EXPENSE THEREOF AND DETERlIINING THAT 4 SERIAL BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT SAID COST AND EXPENSE AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO SAID WORK OR IM- 5 PROVEllENT OR TO THE EXTENT OF THE DISTRICT TO BE ASSESSED OR BOTH. 6 THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOYlS: 7 SECTION 1: That the public interest and convenience re- ~ quire and lt is the intention of the Board of Trustees of said City of Arcadia to order the fol10rring work and improvement to be done in said City of Arcadia, to-wit: First: That the existing cement siderralk on the Southerly side of said Huntington Drive between the Ylester~y line of First Avenue and the Easterly line of Lot 27, Block 73, Santa Anita Tract, in the City of Arca.dia, Oounty of Los Angeles, State of California as per map recorded in Book 34, Pages 41 and 42, Miscellaneous Re- cords of said County, prolonged Northerly across said Huntington Drive, be removed and that a fourteen (14) foot sidewalk be construe ,cd along the Southerly side of sald portion of Huntington Drive except where such (14) fourteen foot sidewalk now exists. Second: Tnat the existing cement curb along said South- erly side of said portion of Huntington Drive be removed and that a cement curb be constructed along said portlon of said Huntington 8 9 10 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 Drive. Third: That three lighting standards now installed along the Southerly side of sald portion of said Huntington Drive be re- moved and that sald three reinforced, concrete, ornamental street llghtlng standards, together with wires, plpes, conduits, globes, lamps and appliances for lighting said portion of~ald Huntington Drive be installed along said Southerly side of said portion of said Huntington Drive. SECIDmON a: That the grade to which the work hereinbefore described shall be done and the improvement made as provided in this Resolution, is that shown on Profile and Improvement Plan No. C-117 on flle in the office of the Clty Engineer of said Clty, to which said Profile reference is hereby made for a description of such grad . SECTION 3: All of the foregoing work shall be done in ac- .-=.', cordance wlth sald Profile and Improvement Plan No. C-1l7 on file in the offlce of the City Engineer of said City of Arcadia. Said Huntington Drive referred to ln this Resolution is a public street of said City of Arca.dia. SECTION 4: Said Board of Trustees hereby determines and declares that Serial Bonds shall be issued to represent each asses - ment of Twenty-five ($25.00) Dollars or more re~~ning unpaid for twenty (20) days after the date of the warrant to represent the expenses of said work and improvement. SECTION 5: Notice is hereby glven that on Wednesday, the 6th.. day of February, 1924, at the hour of eight o'clock P.M. of said day, in the Council Chamber of the Board of Trustees of said City of Arcadia, ln the Clty Hall of said City, any and all persons having any objections to said proposed TIork or improvement, or both, may appear before said Board of Trustees and show cause why said proposed work or improvement should not be carried out in accord- ance wlth thls Resolution. SECTION .6: All the proceedings for the aforesaid work and improvement and for the issuance of said bonds shall be had and taken under and in accordance with the provisions of an Act of the Legls1ature of the State of California, known and designated as the II Improvement Act of 191111, approved April 7, 1911 and of all Acts supplementary thereto or amendatory thereof. SECTION 7: The Superintendent of Streets shall post or cause to be posted conspicuously along the line of said contemplate work or improvement and also along all the open streets within the District liable to be assessed and hereinabove described, notlces of the passage of thls Resolution in the manner and form required by law. SECTION B: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be published twice in ~he Arcadia Journal, a weekly newspaper publiShed and circulated in said City of Arcadia and hereby designated for tbat purpose. -4.- /9-0' /;( f .".
