RESOLUTION NO. 150.
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
DETERMINING MID DECLARING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY
DEMAND THE CONSTRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF A OERTAIN MtnqIOIPAL
IMPROVEMENT, SPECIFYING THE SAME AND DEOLARING THE INTENTION OF THE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF SAID CITY OF AROADIA TO OALL A SPEOIAL ELEC-
TION FOR THE SUBMISSION TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF SAID OITY OF THE
PROPOSITION OF INOURRING A BONDED INDEBTEDNESS FOR THE OONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF SAID Ml~IOIPAL IMPROVEMENT.
THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ~~CADIA DO DETERMINE
AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SEOTION 1:
That the public interest and necessity demand the construct-
ion and completion by said Oity of Arcadia of a certain municipal
improvement, to-wit:
Grading and Oil-Macadamizing the following Avenues and Stree s
in said Oity of Arcadia:
FRONT STREET from Santa Clara Street to St. Joseph Street;
HAVEN AVENUE from Santa Anita Avenue to First Avenue;
ORANGE, AVENUE from Second Avenue to Fifth Avenue;
LA PORTE STREET from Santa Anita Avenue to Second Avenue;
ST. JOSEPH STREET from First Avenue to Second Avenue;
WALNUT STREET from Santa Anita Avenue to First Avenue;
ALTA STREET from Santa Anita Avenue to Second Avenue;
BONITA STREET from Santa Anita Avenue to Second Avenue;
OALIFORNIA STREET from Santa Anita Avenue to Second Avenue;
DIAMOND STREET from Third Avenue to Fifth Avenue;
EL DORADO STREET from Santa Anita Avenue to Fifth Avenue;
FANO STREET from Santa Anita Avenue to Second Avenue;
ALIOE STREET from Santa Anita Avenue to Second Avenue;
THIRD AVENUE from Duarte Road to the right of way of The
Atchinson, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway;
VALNETTE AVENUE from Santa Anita Avenue to El Monte Avenue;
PALM DRIVE from Baldwin Avenue to El Honte Avenue;
~~CADIA AVENUE from Baldwin Avenue to the Westerly Boundary
Line of said Oity of Arcadia;
FAIRVIEW AVENUE from Baldwin Avenue to the Westerly Boundary

SECOND AVENUE from said White Oak Avenue to HAVEN AVENUE.
DUARTE ROAD from Baldwin Avenue to the Westerly Boundary
Line of said City of Arcadiaj
EL MONTE AVENUE from Azusa Avenue to Walnut Avenue and
constructing concrete curbing along each line of the roadway of
said El Monte Avenue from Azusa Avenue to Walnut Avenue;
Grading and Oil-Macadamizing four-3 foot shoulders on
,
either side of the present pavement on Santa Anita Avenue from
Walnut Avenue to said White Oak Avenue;
Constructing concrete curbing along each line of the
center Parkway of Santa Anita Avenue from Walnut Avenue to Grand
View Avenue, provided however, that the improvements in Section 1
of this Resolution proposed to be constructed shall not include
such portion of said Avenues and Streets as is required by law
to be kept in order or repair by any person, firm or corpora hon
having or maintaining railroad tracks thereon; and that said imp-
rovement is necessary and convenient to carry out the objects,
purposes and powers of said City; that the estimated oost of
said grading, oil-macadamizing, curbing and constructing such
shoulders is Two Hundred and twenty-five Thousand ($225,000.00)
Dollars; that said cost is and will be too great to be paid out
of the ordinary annual income and revenue of said City of Arcadia
and it is the intention of said Board of Trustees to call a special
election for the submission to the qualified voters of said City
of Arcadia of the proposition of incurring a bonded debt in said
sum of Two Hundred and Twenty-five Thousand ($225,000.00) Dollars
for the purpose of the construction and completion of said muni-
cipal improvement.

SEOTION 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
2 arid adoption of this Resolution by a vote of two-thirds of all
3 the members of the Board of Trustees of said City of Arcadia and
4 to its approval by the President of said Board.
5 The foregoing Resolution was adopted at an adjourned
6 regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Arcadia,
7 held on the 25th. day of June, 1924, by the affirmative vote of
8 at ,least four Trustees, to-wit:

10 NOES: None.
