City of Arcadi~, County of Los Angeles, State of california, on
Tuesday, August 12; 1924, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance
No'. 144 of said CitYe there was submitted to the qualified elec-
tors of said City of Arcadia the following proposition:
Shall bonds of the City of Arcadia in the sum of Two
Hundred and TYlenty-five Thousand ($225,000'.00) Dollars be issued

either side of the present pavement on Santa Anita Avenue from
walnut Avenue to said rlhite Oak Avenue;
Constructing concrete curbing along each line of the
center parkway of Santa Anita Avenue from Walnut Avenue to Grand
'lieu Ayenue, except such portion of said AVenues and Streets proposed

to be improved as is required by law to be kept in order or repair :

by any person, firm or corporation having or rr8intaining railroad
tracks thereon, and
WHEREAS, at said Election the whole number of voters
voting thereat flas 274 and the whole number of legal votes cast
was 274, and
WHEP~S, due notice of said Special Municipal Election
was given and said Election was held at the time and in the manner
and in all respects as required by said Ordinance N~. 144 and that
in all particulars not recited in said Ordinance, said Special
Municipal Election was held as provided by law for holding Mun1cipa]

Elections in Cities of the Sixth Class, and
WHEREAS, said Election was regularly and fairly conducted
and the returns thereof TIere duly and legally made and certified
to by this Board and said Returns have been duly and regularly
canvassed by this Board, and
