A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AR_
CADIA DECLAF.ErG ITS INTENTION TO IMPROVE A PORTION OF HUNTIlWTON
DRIVE IN SAID CITY OF ARCADIA AND DETERMINING THAT SERIAL BONDS
SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT THE COST THEREOF AND FIXING A TIME
AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO SAID PROPOSED WORK OF. I~PROVE_
llENT.
THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AF.CADIA DO RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the public interest and convenience re-
quire and it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of said City
of Arcadia to order the following work and improvement to be done
in said City of Arcadia, to-wit:
First: That that portion of the roadway of said Hunt-
ington Drive from the center line of First Avenue to the center
line of Second Avenue, sixteen feet in width and situate between
the Northerly curb line of said Huntington Drive and the oil macad_
am pavement now in place in said portion of Huntington Drive, be
graded and paved with oil macadam four inches thick, except where
such oil macadam pavement is now in place and in good condition
in the intersections of said First Avenue and Second Avenue with
said Huntington Drive.
Second: That thatportion of the roadway of said Hunt-
ington Drive from the center line of First Avenue to the center
line of Second Avenue, sixteen feet in width and situate between
the Southerly curb line of said Huntington Drive and the pavement
now in place in said portion of Huntington Drive, be graded ~~d
paved with oil macadam pavement four inches thick, except where
such oil macadam pavement is now in place and in good condition
in the intersections of said First Avenue and Second Avenue with
said Huntington Drive.
SECTION 2: Said Board of Trustees hereby determines and
orders that three_sixteenths (3/16) of the entire cost and expense
of the work a,nd improvement of said portion of said Huntington
Drive as hereinabove specified, shall be paid out of the General
Fund of said City of Arcadia.

SECTION 3: That the grade to which the work shall be
done and the improvement made as provided for,in this Resolution
is that shown on Profile and Improvement Plan No. C-122, on file
in the office of the City Engineer of said City of Arcadia, to
which said Profile reference is hereby made for a description of
such grade.
SECTION 4: All of the foregoing work shall be ,done in
accordance with said Profile and Improvement Plan No. C-122 on file
in the office of the City Engineer of said City of Arcadia.
Said work shall also be done in accordance with the fol-
lowing Specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk of
said City of Arca.dia, to_wit:
"Standard Specifications No. 0 for the construction of
curbs, sidewalks, gutters, oil macada~ and concrete pavement.
All Streets and Avenues referred to in this Resolution
are Public Streets and Avenues of said City of Arcadia.
SECTION 5: Said Board of Trustees hereby determines and
declares that Serial Bonds shall be issued to represent each as-
sessment of Twenty_five ($25.00) Dollars or more remaining unpaid
for twenty (20) days after the date of the warrant to represent the
expenses of said work and improvement. Said serial bonds shall
extend over a period ending nine (9) years from the second day of
January next succeeding the fifteenth day of the next November
following their date and an even annual proportion of the principal
sum thereof shall be payable by coupon on the second day of Jan-
uary every year after the fifteenth day of the next November fol-
lowing their date, until the whole is paid and the interest shall
be payable semi_annually by coupon on the second days of January
and July respectively of each year after their date at the rate of
seven per cent per annum on all sums unpaid until the whole of
said principal and interest are paid.
SECTION 6: Notice is hereby given that on Wednesday,

the 15th. day of April, 1925, at the hour of eight o'clock P. M.
of said day, in the Council Chamber of the Board of Trustees of
said City of Arcadia, in the City Hall of said City, any and all
persons having any objections to said proposed work or improve-
ment or both, may appear before said Board of Trustees and show
cause why said pr0posed work or improvement should not be carried
out in accordance with this Resolution.
SECTION 7: All proceedings for the aforesaid work and
improvement and for the issuance of said bonds shall be had and
taken under and in accordance with the provisions of an Act of the
Legislature of the State of California, known and designated as the
"Improvement Act of 1911~ approved April 7, 1911, and of all Acts
supplementary thereto or amendatory thereof.
SECTION 8: The Superintendent of Streets shall post or
cause to be posted conspicuously along the line of said contemplate
work or improvement, notices of the passage of this Resolution in
the manner and form required by law.
SECTION 9: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this Resolution and shall cause the same to be published twice
in The Arcadia Journal, a weekly newspaper published and circulate~
in said City of Arcadia and hereby designa.ted for that purpose.
Said Board of Trustees does not deem it advisable that the City
Clerk mail copies of "Notice of Improvement" to the owners or
reputed Oimers of property to be assessed for such proposed work
or improvement and the mailing of such notices is hereby dispensed
with.
The foregoing Resolution was adopt~d at a regular meet_
ing of the Board of Trustees of the City of Arcadia, held on the
18th. day of MarCh" 1925, by the affirmative vote of at lea.st
three Trustees, to-wit:
AYES: Trustees Gramm, Granville, Hawk, Multer and Wheele .
