T:I3}: CITY COUl:CIL OF T;r:;;; CITY OF k:1.G:.DIA ])OBS RJ:SOLVE AS FOLLO'."iS: SECTION 1. rTHZR:::::lI.S, the Departlllent of Public .70rl,s, Division of Hi~huays, State of California, propose a grade separation at the intersection of the Atchison, Tor:e1ca and Santa Fe Railway tracks "ith Huntin::;ton Drive in the City of Arcadia, and IT:n~REAS, in order that traific alon::; said railway may be con- ducted Juring said improvement; it will be necessary that a temporary track be provided for the handling of trains, and TI~REAS, there has been ~resented to this City Council by the Divizion of HiGhways of the State of California, a blueprint plan and cross sections, shorlln~ the position of said tell~porary track, tOGether 1] ith a request that this :Body approve the location of saiJ temporary tre.nk as shown on said plan, and ~HERSAS, this City Council believes that no serious inconvenience will be incurred by '~he location of said ter,lporary track as shorm on said plan, Non, TH8REI<ORE, be it resolved that the temporary use of the North- erly portion of Indi:ma Street for a Shoofly Track to be used by trains of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Rai17ay, which said track shall extend from a point Easterly of First Avenue to HuntinGton Drive, be and the same is hereby approved, as shovm on said blueprint plan and cross sectIons submitted by the Division of Highways; on the condition, however, that said use of said Shoofly Track shall cease and deter~ine upon the completion of said grade separation, and in any event said use shall cease and determine on July 31, 1941; and upon the further condition that upon the discontinuance of the use of said Shoofly Track, the Division of Hi3hways assume full responsibility for re- moval of any and all materials connected with said Shoofly Track from said Indiana Street. and that the paving of said Street be immediately placed in at least as good condition as the san~ now is. -1- \. \ l' f.
